The English Way from Ferrol is the most popular option, as it allows you to cover the approximately 120 km required to obtain the Compostela.
The route is usually completed in 5 to 6 stages, following a varied itinerary through coastline, estuaries and rural Galician landscapes.

I chose the English Way from Ferrol since I only had a week, and it was the perfect introduction to the Camino. It’s quiet, authentic, and deeply relaxing. The rural Galician villages were beautiful. The accommodations were excellent and very clean. Taking one star off because it rained a bit, but that’s Galicia for you!

If you want to avoid the massive crowds of the French Way, this is the way to go. The Northern route is physically demanding with lots of hills, but highly rewarding.
